Recent Innovations in Solar Technology
Solar energy has made huge strides in the past few decades, and the technology is cheaper and more widely available than ever. Many people choose ITM Training Center for PV installation training because there is such a great demand for solar contractors right now. And that demand is only expected to increase in coming years.
While PV panels remain the norm for generating solar energy for the home, there are plenty of exciting new technologies on the horizon -- some of which are even available today!
- Solar shingles - These may one day replace traditional PV panels. These thin panels use the same photovoltaic cells as standard PV panels, but act like regular shingles, offering the same weather protection. Although they were far more costly than bolted-on panels when they were introduced, they are also beginning to come down in price. Dow has been making the shingles for over a decade, and soon Tesla will have their own solar shingles available for consumers.
- Solar-powered bike locks - If you frequently ride your bike to work or school, you may occasionally feel uneasy about leaving it, even if it's properly locked. The solar-powered Skylock eliminates aims to eliminate many of those worries by using Bluetooth technology to connect the lock with your smartphone. Not only do you use your phone to unlock your bike, but it will also send you security alerts if your bike is stolen.
- Solar chargers - Is your phone always running out of juice? A solar charger might be the answer. There are quite a few available on the market that can recharge phones, tablets, and any other electronic device that connects with a USB cable.
- Solar keyboard - Just like the solar-powered calculators that used to be a commonplace desk accessory, Logitech's solar-powered keyboard works with both natural and artificial light and is completely free from wires and batteries. Plus it is ultra thin and lightweight so you can easily take it anywhere.
Solar energy is here to stay, and companies will likely continue to develop even more solar-powered products in the near future. You can become a part of this exciting industry by taking our solar training course in NJ.

Why Homeowners Are Turning to Solar Energy
It's no secret that the solar industry has been rapidly growing over the past decade -- and it's still continuing to grow. With the increased demand for solar energy, there is a need for individuals who have had proper PV installation training. At ITM Training Center, we offer a comprehensive solar training course for those who are ready to start a career in this exciting field. Here are some of the reasons why so many people are turning to solar energy.
- Solar is green energy. Many people are becoming more conscious of the impact that they have on the environment. The fact that solar energy does not produce any greenhouse gasses is a very attractive quality for many homeowners. Relying on solar energy can significantly reduce your carbon footprint, which helps offset the damaging effects of pollution caused by burning fossil fuels. Plus, the sun's energy is virtually limitless.
- PV panels can save homeowners money. In the past, solar technology was expensive, but due to recent innovations, it is becoming cheaper and more accessible to the general public. Meanwhile, utility costs are continuing to rise. While PV panels might seem to have a high upfront cost, they can help people save thousands of dollars over the years. Solar energy is especially useful to help offset the high cost of energy during the summer months. Plus, the government typically offers incentives and tax credits to encourage homeowners to have PV panels installed.
- Solar array systems are low maintenance. Since there are no moving parts involved, there is a greatly reduced chance of parts breaking. In fact, unlike other renewable energy sources such as wind turbines, PV panels require almost no maintenance. Additionally, they can be installed on rooftops of most homes, which means that they don't take up additional space on the property.
- Solar panels add value to homes. Potential homebuyers love to see solar panels already installed since it means that they won't have to pay the upfront costs associated with installation, and they know that they'll be able to reap the benefits of having an auxiliary energy source. Because of this, sellers are able to raise their asking price, knowing that their home is more desirable.

A Brief History of Solar Technology
In recent years, solar technology has become cheaper and more efficient, making it available to a great number of consumers who may have previously thought solar panels were out of their reach. Many homeowners are interested in adding solar panels to their home to help reduce the cost of their energy bills or decrease their reliance on other electricity sources. Others find solar power to be an attractive, environmentally-friendly electricity option that adds value to their home.
If you are ready to begin your solar training in NJ, contact ITM Training Center today.
Solar energy has a long history which dates back to ancient times. Our solar training course in NJ will give you a much more thorough understanding of the subject, but here is a brief history of some important events relating to solar power.
Ancient Times - The ancient Greeks, Romans, and Chinese, would use mirrors to concentrate the sun's rays to light torches for religious purposes. The Romans, along with other civilizations, also would build south-facing rooms to capture the warmth of the sun.
1800s - A French scientist is credited with discovering the photovoltaic (PV) effect, which is the main premise on which solar panels are based. Other scientists continued experimentation with solar cells to find more efficient materials.
Early 1900s - Einstein, along with his theory of relativity, publishes a paper on photoelectric effect. A few years later, William Bailey from Carnegie Steel Company invents the precursor to modern solar collectors with copper coils in an insulated box.
1950s - Photovoltaic technology in the United States has become efficient enough to run basic electrical equipment using a silicon PV cell. During this time, the first commercial PV technology becomes available. The most significant use of solar cells at the time was on space satellites. Solar energy is still used to power satellites today.
1970s - A much cheaper solar cell is designed, which begins to make solar technology more practical to install on lighthouses, boats, and other remote locations. Many institutions, including the US Department of Energy, begin more extensive research on solar power and how it might be used.
1980s - Many further developments are made in the 1980s and 1990s that improved the efficiency of PV cells. Solar cells were applied to vehicles like cars and airplanes, and efforts began to use the sun's energy to generate electricity for large areas.
2000s and beyond - Since the turn of the century, companies and countries around the world have worked to vastly improve solar technology, and there are now many more practical applications for PV cells. Even now, the solar industry continues to grow.
If you're ready to be a part of an exciting industry, consider joining our solar training program in New Jersey today!

3 Tips on How to Be an Excellent Medical Assistant
Question: What is the difference between a good medical assistant and an excellent medical assistant?
Answer: It's all in the details.
The first thing you want to do to become an excellent medical assistant is get the right training. At ITM Training Center, we strive to provide our students with the best medical assistant training in New Jersey and other areas. We also provide additional professional service training courses in the medical field and other fields.
The second thing you want to do after you pass our training and certification courses is to be a very organized and detailed medical assistant. Here are some great tips
Tip # 1 - Be Prepared for the Unexpected
Before the doctor comes in, ask the patient why they are visiting and make sure that the doctor has everything they will need for their visit with the patient before they even walk through the door. This might sound obvious, but this step is often overlooked. For example, if the patient has a cough you might want to provide the doctor with a peak flow or if the patient need labs then you can prepare the lab sheet with all the patient's identifying information so that all the doctor needs to do is check off the labs that need to be done. The more prepared you are, the more the patient's visit with the doctor runs smoothly.
Tip # 2 - Use a Cheat Sheet
If you work within a practice that has many doctors, you might have to create a cheat sheet with each doctor's preferences on it. You do not want to be stuck wondering how one doctor wants this done and how the other doctor wants that done. Write your cheat sheet on a notepad and keep it with you at all times so that you can quickly reference it if you need to. Some notes to put in your notepad are each doctor's glove sizes, suture setup, wound care or pelvic exam setup. If you have everything ready to go, this makes the doctor's job easier.
Tip # 3 - Document Everything!
Everyone knows that with doctors their handwriting is normally illegible, but your penmanship does not have to be. You will want to keep clear, accurate notes that are short and specific. Your notes on a patient's chief complaint need to be concise. You also want to correct any spelling mistakes you might have made. When it comes to names of medications this can be tricky, so keep a pocket-sized book of all the generic and brand name medications handy. This will help you to be an outstanding medical assistant instead of a mediocre one. Your know-how will allow you to keep the office running smoothly and out of chaos.

With the influence of new professional and management practices and the advent of new technologies, IT professionals must constantly update their familiarity with the most current industry trends and skills.
There is a plethora of both soft and hard skills that top IT professionals must have. There is also a wealth of knowledge they must possess. Moreover, contemporary IT professionals mustn't forget their foundations.
- PC issue resolution is key. IT professionals must know how to find and fix problems with PCs.
- Troubleshooting network connectivity issues is a regular task undertaken by IT professionals in today's world.
- Troubleshooting application malfunctions is also an almost daily part of every IT pro's life.
- Database management is one of the most important skills for an IT guy or gal in the today's business world. In fact, good database management people are in high demand and they usually earn more than others.
- Corralling data might fall under the database management umbrella, but we're willing to bet it's a separate and distinctive enough aspect of the future of the IT field that it warrants its own number here on our list. IT pros in 2016 will need to understand Oracle, IBM DB, MongoDB, as well as SoSQY databases.
- In the professional IT landscape, IT techs must be armed with the necessary know-how that will enable them to carry out proper security procedures.
- Project management is key for virtually every job. However, IT professionals absolutely must be able to prioritize and manage their time and projects effectively because of the volume of work they do.

3 Tips That Will Help You Find the Time to Continue Your Education
For many people, finding the time to continue their education is challenging. Furthermore, trying to find enough time one day a week to take just one class or course can be difficult for those who have to provide for their family, and work 40+ hours. However, if you have your sight set on continuing your education, there are ways that you can make yourself find the time. In fact, here are three tips that will help you to discover how continuing your education is possible even if you have a hectic lifestyle.
The road to finding the time all begins with how clear you are about your goal(s).
Continuing your education takes both time and effort. Therefore, if you have a strong desire to learn and achieve your educational goals, finding the time will become easier. And, with such a strong desire, you will not be afraid to make certain sacrifices, as well as afraid to ask people for help.
Don't go into it alone.
If you have a family to take care of, ask friends and relatives if they can help you out for a brief period. Also, if you do this, it is important that you make it clear to everyone that you will be unwavering in your effort to achieve your educational goals. If you do that, you will find that others will be much more willing to babysit for the couple hours you are at class.
Search for a flexible program.
These days, continuing education courses and programs are becoming more flexible than ever. Like you (the student), many of these educational institutions realize that it is harder than ever to find time to learn. So, if you feel as though you have nowhere to turn, it is likely that you do! And, if your job is willing to be flexible with you (especially if continuing your education will make you a more valuable employee) they might be able to accommodate an early morning or late night class.
If you are extremely passionate about continuing your education, you will find the time. If it's just an afterthought, it might not be as easy.
To learn more about how you can find the time to continue your education, please feel free to reach out to us here at ITM Training Center.
How Certification Will Enhance Your IT Career
If you're considering taking IT training courses in New Jersey, take it from us that a certification doesn't just involve an irrelevant piece of paper. It exists for a reason, and if you receive one, you'll be leagues ahead of peers who didn't do the same.
So if you're thinking about pursuing a career in IT, here a just a few reasons why a certification will help you:
It Will Get You Hired
This one is plain and simple. Hiring managers in IT will be much more likely to offer you a job if you can show them a certificate that proves you know what you're doing.
You'll Stick Around
Once you get that job, you need to be able to perform the tasks necessary to do it properly. If you can't, you'll be replaced by someone who can. Getting a certificate will make you a better employee, and greatly increase your chances of retention.
You'll Network with Cohorts
While you're training, you'll meet other like-minded individuals. As you all progress with your careers, knowing other IT professionals, and keeping in touch with them, will lead you to far more opportunities than if you didn't make those connections. This one pertains more to the long term of your career, but in a few years we bet you'll be glad that you built a strong network of cohorts.
You'll Develop Breadth
By the nature of a career in IT, the tasks you complete will be job specific. Therefore, once you figure out an efficient way to respond to the job's demands, you'll start to form repetitive habits of operating. There's nothing wrong with that when it comes to one job, but if you get too comfortable and stuck in your ways, when it comes time to switch to a different one, you'll have trouble staying afloat.
Getting an IT Certification will allow you to learn the field in a way that isn't specific to one job, which will ultimately give you more options and allow you to be more fluid, and successful on the whole.
It Documents Your Credibility
Words are nice, but backing your talk up with a document that proves all the credibility you speak of will prove your credibility. That'll be beneficial when dealing with employers and coworkers. With credibility, those people will take what you have to say seriously, rather than just roll their eyes.
You'll Feel More Confident
If you have an IT certification, you'll know that you're well qualified to handle the job, and you'll approach it with confidence. Confidence is very important to performing well and effectively. The better you think you are, the better you actually will be, and where you can take your career will be exponential.
Now that it's clear that getting the certification is important, there's just one more thing to keep in mind. It's also crucial that you receive your certification from the right training center.
You know that old cliché that practice makes perfect? Well, a better motto to live by is perfect practice makes perfect. In other words, if you don't form proper habits from the start, they'll come back to bite you later, and make things very difficult to correct. If you're in New Jersey and want IT or PMP® training done right, sign up for a course with us. You'll be glad you did.
There is no doubt about it, choosing to continue your education, whether in what you originally studied in college or not, offers many benefits. Even though time and money may be hard to acquire at times, it will be all worth the effort, especially if you are attentive and work to get the most out of the courses/classes you take.
Continuing to expand your skillset makes you more marketable and, for those currently employed, more valuable to your organization.
The best benefit of pursuing, and thus learning, new knowledge is that you will have an even greater skillset. Therefore, you will have much more to bring to the table when applying for your next job. Also, your current employer may look at you as an even greater asset than you already were due to the new skills and knowledge.
Taking courses to expand your current knowledge also shows how hard you are willing to work.
For most people, it takes a lot of effort (especially if they have a lot of commitments in life) to continue their education. However, if you do, and you succeed, that will say a great deal about your work ethic. Potential employers will likely be impressed with how ambitious you were to attain more knowledge, even though you were juggling several things at once at the time.
Choosing to continue your education will provide you with a sense of fulfillment.
Do you recall the last time you achieved something spectacular? It might have been when you finally held your bachelor's degree in your hands, or when you were recognized at work for landing that huge client. Whatever it was, you probably felt great after overcoming such a big challenge!
So, instead of talking about how you want to learn more, take the first step to feeling even more accomplished (after going back for more schooling) and register for classes!
At ITM Training Center, we know that if you want to thrive as a professional, you need to guarantee that you are up to speed with all of the latest changes and trends in your industry. In fact, this is why our company was even established in the first place - to provide everyone with the chance to learn and increase their skills.

We would not offer our classes to professionals if they were anything but innovative. After all, some of our students may or may not be savvy with what they are learning in one of our courses. So, we make one of our highest priorities to ensure that our courses and training programs never "get old."
We offer classes at an approved school in Edison, New Jersey, although you can have the chance to be certified in both the Garden and Keystone state. So, if you have an interest in technology, do not miss out on the opportunity to take expand your knowledge base with us!
One of the most important and favorite modules of the ITM Solar Technician training course is the hands-on installation training on our outside training roof. Unfortunately, the students in the winter class had a tough time getting out on the training roof due to the brutal weather conditions. Enter our good friends from Pro Custom Solar procustomsolar.com across town. Pro Custom opened their office to our students to beat the cold for a full day of hands-on solar installation training inside the comfort of their adjoining warehouse. There the ITM solar students were able to continue their training and receive expert advice from the Pro Custom staff in the latest roof mounting techniques, racking systems, module wiring and system design.
Many thanks to Arthur and Cameron from Pro Custom Solar for making that day happen.
Based on a recent article in renewableenergyworld.com it appears that the solar PV market is poised for more growth in 2014. As the solar power market continues to expand so do the job opportunities. We expect growth in the traditional solar installer jobs but it's important not to lose sight of the other career opportunities in solar as well. For example, the growth in residential solar leasing has increased the need for trained sales and leasing candidates. Site surveyors, designers and system monitoring professionals are also in demand. Looking outside of the solar jobs connected to installations you will find job opportunities in the manufacturing of the modules, inverters and racking. The increase in installations should lead to more job openings at the utility companies to handle the interconnections. Representatives for customer service and system maintenance with training in troubleshooting will also be required.
With the expansion of job opportunities in solar it's important to focus on a comprehensive training program that will provide the skills in many of these growth areas. ITM's Solar Technician training program is designed for 300 hours of classroom and hands-on training that gives students the exposure to these areas and prepares them for the NABCEP PV Entry Level Exam. ITM is a NABCEP Certified Testing Center.
